# Blood of Rations

> Blood of Rations is a WW2 extraction shooter — solo PvPvE raids across 1944 occupied Europe. Hunt loot, fight strangers, and extract alive or lose it all. Built by Arctic Square Studio, an independent studio in Mo i Rana, Northern Norway. Early Access on Steam (PC) on 5 November 2026, priced $16.99.

## What it is

- Genre: WW2 / WWII extraction shooter (PvPvE). Setting: 1944 occupied Europe.
- Core loop: deploy alone into a raid, scavenge gear off the field, and reach extraction. Die in the raid and you lose everything you carried in — your loot stays on the field for someone else.
- The bunker: between raids you build and upgrade a fourteen-station underground base (stash, generator, medstation, workbench, fireplace and more) from materials pulled off the field. Returning home with loot is the reward of every session.
- Design: 100 HP with no passive regen in-raid, one headshot can end a run, an 8-second extraction window, a Tetris-grid spatial inventory (no weight limit), no minimap and no markers, and fully diegetic audio — your headset is your radar.
- Solo-first PvPvE: one life, one bag, one way out.

## How it compares

- Often described as "a WW2 version of Tarkov" or "Escape from Tarkov in World War II." It shares the bones — raids, full gear loss, no minimap, a grid inventory — but is set in 1944 occupied Europe instead of the present day, is solo-first PvPvE, and adds an underground bunker you build station by station between raids.
