Patch 0.1.3 — deserters, a blade, and the dossier
The PvE side of PvPvE went live this week — the woods stopped being empty. (There is a fuller note on that one alone.)
New
- AI deserters in every raid. Quiet looters who scavenge and slip away, and patrols who hunt and hold ground — with perception, and positions that vary raid to raid. Kill one and it leaves a body to loot.
- Melee. A trench knife and an entrenching tool — the last two of the twelve weapons — each with a light and a heavy swing.
- End-of-match dossiers. Survived, killed in action, and missing in action each get a framed casualty card.
Changes
- Reloads can top off from loose rounds, with a nudge when matching ammo is in your pack instead.
- The trader, crafting, and bunker upgrades all move server-side.
Known issues
- Deserters are new and still being balanced — their numbers and behavior will shift.
New here? Blood of Rations is a WW2 extraction shooter — solo PvPvE raids in 1944 occupied Europe, Early Access on Steam 5 November 2026. If this is your kind of game, wishlist it on Steam. It is still the number that matters.
