Devlog — the design takes shape
Before the raid exists in code, it has to exist on paper — unambiguous, system by system.
This stretch was design work: mapping how the pieces fit. Combat and its time-to-kill. The grid inventory, and why every slot should hurt to fill. The loot tables. The bunker and its stations. Extraction, and the cost of being seen. The kind of decisions that are cheap to change in a document and expensive to change in a build.
It is the least glamorous part of making a game, and the part that decides whether the rest holds together. With the systems mapped, the build could begin.
New here? Blood of Rations is a WW2 extraction shooter — solo PvPvE raids in 1944 occupied Europe, Early Access on Steam 5 November 2026. If this is your kind of game, wishlist it on Steam. It is still the number that matters.
